Mikel Arteta might welcome Thomas Partey back to Nottingham Forest.

Arsenal Midfielder Thomas Partey, the dynamic and versatile midfielder for Arsenal, has established himself. On June 13, 1993, Partey was born in Odumase Krobo, Ghana. His exceptional skills, tactical knowledge, and unwavering dedication to the game have helped him develop into an important member of Arsenal’s midfield.

According to the Mirror, Partey might be available for Arsenal’s trip to Nottingham Forest on January 30. The Ghanaian midfielder hasn’t played since October due to a thigh injury, with just five outings this season.

Partey, 30, had a surgical surgery on his thigh in November. He has accelerated his recuperation and is on the verge of returning, which will be a boost for Mikel Arteta.

Arsenal has recently faltered, falling from first to fourth place in the Premier League. They have only won one of their past five league games and were eliminated from the FA Cup after losing 2-0 at home to Liverpool on Sunday (January 7).

Partey’s injury will prevent him from competing in the African Cup of Nations with Ghana. Chris Hughton, the Black Stars manager, has insisted on maintaining open lines of communication with the Gunners. The African country would not try to prevent the midfielder from playing for the club if he was available.

During the summer, there was substantial doubt over Partey’s future at Arsenal since Declan Rice joined from West Ham United. Juventus, the Serie A heavyweights, were keeping an eye on the former Atletico Madrid player but have now withdrawn their interest.

Juve may still attempt to do business with Arsenal, as they are apparently studying Charlie Patino. The 20-year-old English ex Arsenal midfielder is presently on loan with Swansea City in the EFL Championship.

Patino has excelled with the Swans, scoring four goals and assisting in 21 appearances across all competitions. Michele Fratini, an Italian football scout, discussed the Old Lady’s interest (via Sports Witness):

They really like him. In the FA Cup, Juventus helped him out and he scored as well. He is the player Turin’s Juventus sorely needs.

Patino has only played two senior games for Arsenal, however he has one goal. He was valued at €12 million by Transfermarkt.

This summer, Arteta could have to make a decision on the Englishman’s future. At the Emirates, he already has a strong midfield with players like Partey, Rice, Jorginho, Martin Odegaard, and Kai Havertz.

Playing behind the striker, Patino is a dynamic midfielder with a left foot. According to reports, Juventus visited Swansea to see the exciting young prospect play when he was on loan.
