Cody Gakpo makes a decision between Mohamed Salah and Luis Suarez.

Liverpool striker Cody Gakpo likes his teammate Mohamed Salah over former Reds great Luis Suarez.

In a This or That quiz, the Netherlands international was asked to choose between pairings of players that included luminaries like as Diego Maradona, Lionel Messi, Arjen Robben, and Wayne Rooney.

When asked whether he preferred Salah or Suarez, he promptly chose his club partner, as shown in the video below:

Since moving to Anfield, Salah has been in incredible goal-scoring form for Liverpool this season and doesn’t seem to be slowing down. The 31-year-old winger has started every Liverpool game this season and has 14 goals and 8 assists in the Premier League.

Salah has been Liverpool’s main goal scorer this season, contributing to about one-third of the team’s league goals. This season, he has also been quite active in the Europa League, making five appearances, scoring three goals and dishing out one assist.

Salah missed Liverpool’s 2-0 FA Cup third-round victory against Arsenal on Sunday (January 7) because he was traveling with his national squad for the African Cup of Nations.

Depending on Egypt’s success in the tournament, the Egyptian attacker may miss up to seven additional Liverpool matches across tournaments. He will undoubtedly be a major loss for Jurgen Klopp’s squad.

"Mohamed Salah is not the best": Pundit identifies vital area of growth for Liverpool star

Arsenal veteran Martin Keown has encouraged Liverpool striker Darwin Nunez to improve his finishing after his performance in the Reds’ FA Cup triumph against Arsenal.

The Merseyside outfit defeated Mikel Arteta’s side 2-0 thanks to Jakub Kiwior’s own goal in the 80th minute and Luis Diaz’s stoppage-time strike. Nunez had a poor performance, contributing zero goals.

Three of his four shots in the box were off target, while one was blocked (via FotMob). Keown believes the Uruguayan attacker could be more composed in front of goal.

The commentator said on the BBC’s broadcast of the match (via Empire of the Kop):

“He needs to get cleaner with his feet; right now, he’s not the best in front of goal. That’s what he needs to work on.”

In 29 appearances for Liverpool this season in all competitions, Nunez has eight goals and as many assists.
