Adrien Rabiot, a Juventus midfielder, recently explained why he does not have a boot deal like other elite sportsmen. Rabiot said that he prefers to be comfortable rather than earn a livelihood.

The Frenchman is an important player for Juventus and France. Needless to say, Rabiot is wealthy, and one can expect that he has boot deal offers from major labels.

Rabiot explained why he doesn’t have a boot sponsor by saying he wants to be ‘free’ (quotes from Football Italia), adding:

“I’d like to be free.” Football boots might be fantastic one day and not so nice the next, therefore I want to get the greatest ones for me.

“Without a contract, I could switch from Adidas to Nike.” What matters is comfort, not appearance. I earn enough money that I don’t have to persuade myself I need that money.”

Adrien Rabiot has begun his Juventus season nicely, scoring once in three games in all competitions. The 27-year-old has international experience as well, having made 38 appearances for Les Bleus, scoring three goals and giving two assists.

Here is what Adrien Rabiot had to say about staying at Juventus

Adrien Rabiot, previously of PSG, had a strong season last season and was also one of the standout performances at the 2022 FIFA World Cup in Qatar.

Manchester United and other clubs were interested in signing the Frenchman during the last transfer window. Rabiot, on the other hand, elected to extend his contract with Juventus, saying (as quoted above):

“This is just one of the reasons I chose to stay at Juventus.” We’ll be able to operate without cups more here.”

Rabiot spoke on Bianconeri manager Massimiliano Allegri’s involvement in his choice to remain in Turin:

“Allegri is adamant about it. He is correct in motivating me since I could get much better numbers. Every coach, even Laurent Blanc at PSG, has always told me this. I can improve in many ways, including this.”

Rabiot is a talented midfielder whose abilities are valued by leading European teams. With Paul Pogba’s future unknown due to a doping scandal, Rabiot might be a significant role for Juventus.
