Journalist Ben Jacobs claims that Liverpool won’t be attempting to sign Fluminense forward Andre Trindade in January.
With Fluminense, Andre just won the Copa Libertadores. In addition to the Reds, teams like Fulham and Manchester United are also keeping an eye on the midfield player.
Andre has shown interest in joining the Premier League in the past, telling CBS Sports:
“I’m a great fan of the Premier League and would love to play there. My main goal is to help Fluminense win the Club World Cup and to fulfill our personal aim of ending the season together. However, I have one clear dream: to play in the Premier League.”
In addition to Andre, the Anfield club has also been connected to players like Joao Palhinha of Fulham and Piero Hincapie of Bayer Leverkusen. On the other hand, Liverpool is anticipated to enjoy a quiet January transfer window.
Due to injuries to Kostas Tsimikas and Andy Robertson, Jurgen Klopp’s team needs a left-back. Rather than try to recruit Hincapie, the Merseysiders have summoned Owen Beck back from his loan at Dundee. Meanwhile, Andre may continue working at Fluminense.
Currently, one of the most well-known defensive midfield prospects in the world is the 22-year-old. He recently participated in both matches as Fluminense advanced to the FIFA Club World Cup final, where they were defeated by Manchester City.
Wataru Endo from Vfb Stuttgart was recruited by the Reds in the summer, but they are still looking for a long-term replacement for Fabinho, who moved to Al-Ittihad. Although Andre Trindade is said to be among the Anfield team’s top targets, a January transfer seems improbable.
Andre Trindade has already expressed his gratitude to Jurgen Klopp, the manager of Liverpool
Jurgen Klopp, the manager of Liverpool, is one of the most recognized coaches in the world. Among the greatest managers of the contemporary period, the German is well-known for his extraordinary capacity to develop youthful talent.
Recently, Trindade commended Klopp’s outstanding body of work throughout the years. In a recent interview, the promising midfield prospect told The Guardian:
“I know that their job is outstanding since I watch international games somewhat. He is unquestionably an excellent instructor who is also very accomplished and clever.”
Before joining Liverpool in 2015, Klopp won the Bundesliga with Borussia Dortmund. Since then, he has won every award that the team has to offer.
To add Andre to their roster, the Reds may have to fend off interest from other Premier League teams. The young player’s contract with Fluminense expires at the conclusion of the 2025–2026 campaign, and Transfermarkt estimates his market worth at €25 million.
