Manchester United are allegedly interested in signing Pierre-Emile Hojbjerg from Tottenham Hotspur. However, before making a bid for the Danish star, the Red Devils must offload certain players.

According to the Telegraph, Hojbjerg is the most recent player on the list at Old Trafford. Ten Hag is anxious for a midfielder this summer and has requested that the team buy a Premier League player.

Sofyan Amrabat has been on their radar for a time, but their attention has suddenly switched. Fiorentina set a deadline last week, which the Red Devils failed since they need to sell a player before signing another.

Manchester United hopes to take advantage of Hojbjerg’s circumstances at Tottenham and entice him to join them. Ange Postecoglou has relegated the Danish international to the bench in all three Premier League games this season.

Erik Ten Hag says that Manchester United has a lot of injuries

Erik Ten Hag, manager of Manchester United, has stated that his team is suffering from an injury problem. He has, however, backed his midfielders, claiming that they would perform well if they are on the same page.

He told the reporters following their 2-0 defeat to Tottenham on August 26 (via Reuters):

“You always have to look at things from a scientific point of view, and that opinion is wrong. It had to do with the front and the back. Because of this, we were so honest. “It has nothing to do with the middle.”

He added:

“We already told them the truth after the game. If you look at his stats, you’ll see that Casemiro is in great shape. I’m sure that (the midfielders) can do it.”

Ten Hag also issued an update on his squad’s ailments, stating (via Manchester Evening News):

“Getting hurt is always a bummer, but we can deal with it. Rasmus Hojlund won’t be able to play tomorrow because he just joined the team for the first time today. We expect him to do a full week next week, so he is very close to making the team.”

He added:

“(Mason Mount and Luke Shaw) are going to be gone for a while. Mason will be shorter than Luke. Tyrell Malacia will take a few weeks, and our team already has the answers. “Yes, for sure.”

After Luke Shaw’s injury, Manchester United is also hoping to recruit Marc Cucurella on loan from Chelsea. The Red Devils attempted to offload Harry Maguire and Scott McTominay, but neither transaction was successful (via Manchester Evening News).
